November 30 重感冒回到美国重感冒。今天上课的时候声音狂沙哑。 学生问：“老师，这么有魅力的声音哪来的？” 偶：“？” 学生：“这声音好像教父的声音。” 偶：“什么？” 学生：“电影教父里，教父被刺杀后的声音。” 我晕。
动画片回国时买了一套中国水墨动画片全集，里面很多片子是70年代生人耳熟能详的。让我惊讶的是，里面居然有我没看过的片子。不禁讥笑自己的浅薄，小时候童年没过好，还有没看过的片子，现在补看。也有很熟悉的片子，现在看来，还是赞叹对白的经典，造型的完美，连音乐也是绝对中国的。这里摘了两部今天看的片子。
《老狼请客》
1980 这部片子给人印象最深的是风味趣致的小调，朗朗上口，呼之即来。片头音乐由口哨吹出，俏皮戏谑，还带一点流里流气。老狼挑着鸡在回家路上唱道：“今天好天气，我捉了两只鸡。快去快去找老熊，一起来吃鸡。这白鸡香又美，管保它满意。"等到老熊欢天喜地拿着瓶酒出门，唱的也是这曲调，歌词改了：“今天好运气，老狼请吃鸡。鸡肉鸡肉配美酒，正好填肚皮。快步快步朝前走，嘴馋心又急。"
《选美记》
1987 《选美记》的开场使我想起韩国电影《春香传》，一样是戏中戏，一样是民间说书艺人讲述故事。《选美记》由一位老汉拉洋片敲着锣唱出情节线索：“往里面瞧来往里面看，老汉我今天拉洋片。从前有个皇帝，整天坐轿到处转。他要来干什么，去把美女看。看了有个啥？皇帝还是一个光棍汉，想选个妃子来做伴。"他的吆喝引来观众坐下来看洋片——古时皇帝选秀的故事。皇帝选美找来画师为美女作画，从中选出心头好，众美女为入选花样百出画师，画师尽其所能画“美"，独一美女什么也没给画师，于便被画丑了。恰巧路边有一变戏法的青年男子，皇帝看中他的一把道具壶，就拿丑女图跟他换，赏他一老婆。接着皇帝按图召见各民女，却发现没有一个和画面对得起来，一个比一个吓人，当场气得脸发蓝，抓来画师问罪。这时变戏法的牵驴经过，他美貌的新娘坐在驴背上，正是画上的“丑八怪"。这下皇帝可傻啦，“追！"怎么追得到？拉洋片的又唱：“慢慢地瞧，慢慢看，皇帝选美一小段儿……" November 28 Da-LiNever really imagined that I would have such a quick trip to Da-Li in early winter. But the beauty of this ancient town mingled with the fantasies of Jin Yong’s books still stroke me head on. Honestly, this is not my first time to visit the place. Technically, I have been to Da-Li several times. If I am not mistaken, this trip should mount up to the 4th time of my visit to the ancient town. Though the place is not new to me, every time I visit, it keeps transforming itself and unveiling its different sides of life to me.
I posted some pictures of the trip and will write more when I get more time. In the meantime, I am trying very hard to adjust the jet lag and catching up with the work piled up on the office desk.
November 13 风、花、雪、月I am reading Jin Yong's work recently. It mentions 风、花、雪、月. Here is a complete interpretation.
大理自古以风、花、雪、月著称——下关风、上关花、苍山雪、洱海月，是大理著名的四景。
▲下关风：每年春、冬两季是下关的风季，一年之中平均有35天以上的大风，最大风速达10级。由于下关地势特殊，风产生一种窜上而复下跌的自然奇怪景象。风口在天生桥峡谷口，它是洱海水出口处，又叫西洱河，河口有座黑龙桥，把下关(即大理市)分为关内关外，桥北为关内，桥南为关外。这里两山(点苍山、哀牢山)窄仄，中间形成槽形。关外是凤仪坝子，吹南风时候居多，而苍山是一座高大的屏障，挡住西南吹来的季风。风从南方来，灌入山槽，到槽口外，风势便由下而窜上，产生奇异的自然景象：如人朝北走，风迎面吹来，揭行人头上帽子，理应落在身后，却反而落在人的面前。
▲上关花：据《大理府志》记载：和山花树高六丈，其质似桂，花白，每朵十二瓣，应十二月，遇润月则多一瓣……至今，白族人养花爱花已成习惯。
▲苍山雪：苍山山顶一年四季积雪不化。从昆明去大理，行至弥渡的定西岭头，就可以看到一排银笔插天，这就是苍山雪。由于冬季积雪较厚，加之长年积雪不化，即使到了夏季也是白雪皑皑、银装素裹。
▲洱海月：洱海的水透明度很高，湖面碧波荡漾，每当风和日丽的夜晚，行近洱海之滨，仰望天空，玉镜高悬，俯视海面，水光接天，一轮明月在海中随波飘荡。 Yunnan dialectAccidentally found this on Sina.com. 除非, 跳下那旋转木马… ......... November 05 Ji Quan Bu NingWatched a new Chinese movie tonight “One Foot Off Ground” (aka Ji Quan Bu Ning). It is an excellent piece of comedy, blended with some gray humor and a generally very positive take of life. It reminds me of my childhood, although I am not, by any means, a Northern Chinese and hence relating much to the cultural backdrop. I always have deep respect for the Chinese cultural root in the Northern China. This movie and its background (Chinese opera, cock fight, and the lively northern Chinese) simply reinforce my beliefs and attitudes of the North. It makes me yearning to visit Henan too!!! This one hour and half piece gave me a good deal of laughter and a few scenes to ponder and reflect. It is tragic that many of Chinese heredities are losing their popularity. OctoberCelebrating completing a depressing October, and ushering in the November with a positive outlook. I have planned many things in October and ended up achieving none. The early cold climate here may also add to the depression.
November will be different with exciting people to meet and work to finish. |
